laugh [laf-ter, lahf-]
People will laugh at you at your expense. They can just be so ignorant at times. It's sickening. When you enter into a room of men dressed in black suits and ties...white shirts, and you're sporting beige khaki pants, loafers and a tie dye shirt.
They'll laugh.
When the latest trend in hair styling is a graduated cut and you're still rockin' the beehive.
They'll laugh at you.
When everyone in the gym wears a size 2 and you are over there on the corner treadmill sweating bullets at a size 16.
They will laugh.
You're a student and you have entered into the oratorical contest. Most contestants are reciting traditional constitutional speeches and you stand up on the stage and present the audience with a radical civil rights call to action which you have created.
While they may be apprehensive...They'll still laugh.
People will laugh, and laugh, and laugh........
But know this: No matter what you are doing, especially if it goes against the grain of what the common folks do, you will definitely be a viable candidate to be ridiculed, laughed at or even ignored.
That means, that you are on the right track. Keep doing what you're doing. Do it with fervor. Exaggerate your expression. Give meaningful eye contact. Be confident in the midst of those foolish people, who sit or stand and laugh.
Each chuckle shall propel you to greatness. Your success is in those laughs. Until one harmonious day...those very ones that held their heads back with their mouths hanging open and their arms flailing will either have to 1. sit down and shut up, 2. wish they were a part of whatever it is that you are doing...or 3. choke on a fly that flew into their pie hole.
You Are Uniquely And Brilliantly Adorned.
