Why Do It Now, When I Can Put It Off Until Tomorrow?
pro·cras·ti·na·tion
prəˌkrastəˈnāSH(ə)n/
noun
the action of delaying or postponing something.
So what can be said about procrastination? How can we change the dynamics of our behavior when we delay the inevitable, only to have to complete our tasks and deadlines at the very last minute? According to the CalPoly newsletter, it states that there are several characteristics of being a procrastinator. Hmmm...would you agree?
Low Self-Confidence
The procrastinator may struggle with feelings of low self-confidence and low self-esteem. He may insist upon a high level of performance even though he may feel inadequate or incapable of actually achieving that level.
I'm Too Busy
Procrastination may be used to call attention to how busy he is. “Obviously I cannot do such and such because my affairs are so complicated and so demanding. That is why I am late, etc.” The procrastinator may even spend considerable time justifying his reasons, time that could be spent doing the work.
Stubbornness
Procrastination may be used as an expression of stubbornness or pride: “Don't think you can push me around. I will do it when I'm good and ready.”
Manipulation
Procrastination may be used to control or manipulate the behavior of others. “They cannot start if I am not there.” Let's face it: deliberate delay drives others crazy.
Coping with Pressures
Procrastination is often truly difficult to eradicate since the delay behavior has become a method of coping with day-to-day pressures and experiences. Obviously if one is cured, others will put new demands and expectations upon you. It's easier to have an excuse, to delay, to put off.
A Frustrated Victim
The procrastinator often feels like a victim: he cannot understand his behavior or why he cannot get work done like others. The whole thing is a frustrating mystery. The reasons for his behavior are hidden from him.

The ego is the part of the mind which drives a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance.
Examples:
One could say, "I feel good about myself, and the people around me appreciate me for the things that I do with them ... or even the things that I do for them. They appreciate the things I do in general." I am proud to be me, and I love my accomplishments. I know who I am, and I love being free..."
Another person's utilization of the ego may have them saying, "I feel terrible about myself. Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me. I have no value. I have no worth."
It is based on one's conditioning that will determine how the ego operates. The ego responds on the basis of environment, one's upbringing, and their surrounding culture....
The ego is driven by the words "My and I"...
The types of things one identifies with will vary based on age, gender, income, social class, fashion, the surrounding culture...and so on...
Suddenly...we as people have layers on top of layers of "me and I" which can ultimately cause confusion, in a world filled with reality.
Our views and perspectives become solely based on what we know and what we think we know. The ego creates attachments to things and obsessions with things. And the things that become important to us...we tend to then think that they should be important to everyone else. Take for example:
George Soro's #BlackLivesMatter movement agenda, where his mission was accomplished in forking over $650,00 in an effort to influence leaders of #BlackLivesMatter to influence candidate platforms during the 2016 primary season. This came alongside the recent acknowledgement by political strategists that African-American voters may be much more pivotal to the 2016 general election than previously forecasted. -- 'Ol George isn't sure at this time if he will further compensate this group as his personal EGOIC mission was accomplished.
See how the ego operates?
People's lives are consumed by an obsessive preoccupation with things, which tends to lead to emotionalism based on their confined state of mind... where everything surrounds them...and they are the focal point of everything...taking into consideration...no one else.
That is why it is sooo very important to become more aware of the ego and how it operates, so that it can be utilized in it's intentional manner, as opposed to overtaking us....Sit back...reflect...practice meditation...breathe...then become one...with the authentic you.
