Anoint Your Wrist With The Odu Wrap Bracelet at Khepera Adornments, LLC

Odu Tribal Wrap Bracelet
Anoint your wrist with the Odu Tribal Memory Wire Wrap Bracelet designed with ancient cultural jewels from Ghana, West Africa. There's a lot of power, healing and history within this gorgeous wood, glass, gemstone and African brass wire-wrapped bracelet. I selected a series of beautiful authentic tribal beads and brass mask while traveling in Ghana. Enjoy the power and great history of some of the most astonishing gifts from this portion of the globe.

Beads are strung on a round stainless memory wire. The memory wire is a very flexible tempered stainless steel wire that remembers its shape when you expand it and snaps back to its original form when you release it. This one piece bracelet wraps around gently and easily around the wrist in approx. 4 loops and gives the impression of multiple bracelets.

Lose Weight Rapidly In 2014: Forget About The Rest, This Works!

Okay...so I figured the title would catch your eye because when people are striving to lose weight, they generally think about it in the beginning of the year, and they want the laborious task to move quickly.

Well guess what? Just as quickly as you lose it, you will surely gain it back, probably even faster. Usually no one wants to hear you have to exercise, or you have to eat healthier or skim down on your portions, but the bottom line is, you may very well need to do a little of each of these to see some form of change within yourself.

Many people who know me, watched my drastic transition of weight loss from 2007 to the end of 2008. The haters...yes, I said it. The haters would have liked to think that I was sick, and plummeting to my death as the reason that I was losing weight, yet they were sadly mistaken. Isn't there always a cluster of people in your midst that often pretend to be supporters of you but in actuality they are sitting back hoping that you fail? Well guess what? Those are the very ones that give you the energy to push forward and excel as you (and I) always do. :-)

Okay, so here's the challenge this year to ensure that you maximize your weight loss, if that is what you are interested in doing within this new year. I'm only going to provide a few tips, as I don't profess to be a guru at this at all, but I certainly pride myself in being a change agent. And if you are interested at all in the metamorphosis process...why not practice on your own self. You will feel better and I'm sure feel more confident.

Here are a few steps to ensure that you are on the road to a healthier you:

1. WATER. It is the key folks. You must increase your intake on water daily. It can fill you up at times, flush out the toxins (which often tip the scale up) and most importantly will speed up your metabolism. I'm not going to tell you how much water to drink, because you may not listen to me or want to follow what I suggest, but I certainly encourage you to drink water every time you think about it. And do whatever it takes to think about it. And put a splash of lemon in it or orange if you don't like plain water.

2. EAT LESS FATTY FOODS AND MORE PROTEINS AND VEGETABLES. Increase your intake of these types of foods and make them snacks! Sound crazy? Yeah, well it works. You should be eating several times a day and stop after a certain hour. Don't eat right before you go to bed and lay on your meals. It just ain't right.

3. YOU'VE GOT TO MOVE THAT BODY WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. Walk faster if you have to. Park in the parking lot of a shopping center far away so that you can take a few extra steps. Take the stairs rather than the elevator. Or just flat out get some exercise in, for at least a half-hour a day for at least four days....otherwise...forget it. You won't see any significant changes in your body and you will just get frustrated and eat a bag of chips to numb the pain of that frustration.

4. IF YOU DRINK ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, KNOCK IT OFF. Like...you will really need to decrease your liquor intake because your just drinking empty calories filled with sugar that goes strait to your gut. I once knew a young lady who went to the gym faithfully. She certainly worked out far more than I did. I mean she was in there at least five times a week. But she drank starting on Thursday, then Friday, then Saturday....Ummm...don't do that. For the life of me I never noticed a difference in her body but you couldn't tell her she wasn't looking svelte so I just left well enough alone. As long as she felt good about it, right? Just don't do that to yourself. You're only going to get your body confused and angry, and the reward is that your body will blow up on you.

5.GET ADEQUATE REST. (Ha! I don't know anything about this) But I encourage others to do it. See, when you are sleeping, your body has pretty much calculated all your wonderful efforts of exercise in the day and is doing the work at night while you are sleeping. You will often be amazed when you wake up some mornings and your body feels tighter. That won't happen as much if you stay up through the night like I often find myself doing these days. So don't do as I do...do as I say! Haha! If that makes sense.

6. LOVE YOU AT EVERY SIZE. The love of yourself at a chubby weight will lead to the love of yourself at a size more conducive to your desires. You can't hate yourself in the beginning and expect to extract love from the self-loathing...So look in that mirror every chance you get and feed yourself with positive affirmations, then get to work!

I promised to be brief on this topic. I wish you well in your weight loss endeavors!

Your Blessings Shall Come In Many Forms: Do Not Turn Them Away

I entered the post office this morning engrossed in my thoughts while shipping orders, and quite thankful for the generous customers who found interest in my designs so that they may beautify themselves in the new year. While standing in line, suddenly the most putrid horrific stench resonated in that room which quickly lead me to survey my surroundings to see where the offensive smell was coming from. At that moment, I became aware that I was not the only one in an uncomfortable position, but could see the misery on the other customer's faces as they too were experiencing what I was experiencing.

And there he was...(or at least I could make such assumption) a very disheveled man with torn clothing, scraggly beard and hair in clumps, holding envelopes and pacing back and forth to such the degree that it was making the customer near him quite uneasy. As it always is in this particular post office, there is never enough employees to assist with an extremely long line of rather inpatient customers. Needless to say, we were all waiting for quite some time and I feared that such a stench of horror would become embedded in my DNA should I need to be subjected to it any longer.

Now I wasn't so bothered by the man himself, as his countenance and demeanor appeared quite pleasant. Having worked in the field of behavioral health for well over twenty years, I would surmise that he was probably challenged with some form of mental illness, as he demonstrated schizo-affective tendencies, with his sporadic movement, and verbal outbursts of pleasantries I might add. Upon his time to be helped, he greeted the postal employee, and I was quite pleased with the way she worked with him to receive what he needed in order to mail his envelopes. My mind drifted off for a moment as I tried to imagine what he could have been mailing off...Perhaps letters to congress or the president to describe the current condition of Americans during these challenging times. Yet I digress in thought.

Well off he went with a smile, holes in over-sized trousers, missing teeth and a most memorable aroma. He wished the postal employee well, and began saying goodbye to the customers in line as he walked towards the exit door. I'm not quite sure how the the rest of the people in line felt about what we were experiencing but I must honestly admit that I was a bit relieved to not have to experience the wrath of odor that resonated from such a happy being. And just in that moment, he looked over at a table and said, "Ooooh someone's gonna be very unhappy when they go to their car, and not be able to get in. Are these anyone's keys?" He stood there holding the keys up with a smudged hand. How relieved I was that he had potentially rescued me from my ill fate of losing my keys, as I walked over to him and thanked him for his assistance. He said, "Ooooh I know your happy now...". And I stated in return, "I surely am. Thank you." And off he went in a flash.

You know, we never know exactly what life will bring from moment to moment, but we can always be grateful that blessings will come to us in many forms, if we humble ourselves, open our hearts, be ready to receive, and most importantly....be thankful.

Death Brings Forth Life: New Beginnings In 2014; Take The Challenge

Greetings and Happy New Year To All!

This woman to the left, as you can imagine has had many transformations in her time. Just to name a few, releasing from processed hair to going natural waaay back in the year 2000, to fluctuating weight gain and weight loss, until I was determined to get a handle on it because I flat out just got tired of myself!

Transforming in any form will have its challenges. Sometimes, one may even wish to give up in the midst of their attempts to change their dynamics. The key is to let the frustration out. Cry, scream, punch the air if you have to. And once you have had your temper tantrum(s), get your ass back up and get back to work.

I believe I just may be one of the happiest people at least this side of the U.S. to see 2013 vanish. Whew! What a hellifying list of adversities. I wouldn't dream of going too deeply into the gory details of it all but I would say that the theme of 2013 was DEATH. Yes....I experienced many deaths in 2013; including the death of a long-time dear friend of mine. My goodness...that broke my heart. But in addition to the actual physical deaths of people, my death experiences lingered to the very end of December.

Now there are many ways that one could look at death. At first I was saddened by it, which is a very natural process to the loss of people, relationships and things. But because these situations were back-to-back...I truly mean, one after the other, I quickly realized that this was such a drastic sign to a larger picture.

The year of 2013 was a cleansing away of old to bring forth the new. This means new friends, new relationships, new opportunities....new beginnings.

Now if you are a believer of numerology, 2014 is a "7 Universal Year" ( 2+0+1+4=7). The energy of the Universal Year has influence upon the collective experience for everyone on the planet. Knowing the meaning of the Universal year Number lends insight into what we can expect to unfold in 2014. The number 7 calls for us to examine our surroundings and existence just a tad deeper this year than we have ever paid attention; an awakening so to speak. One may even find themselves gradually surrounded by like minds of people who are also experiencing this awakening. This would be described as a collective consciousness. This will be a year that places emphasis on dreams, messages, psychic phenomenon, wisdom and our connection to the Divine.

How was your year of 2013? If you found yourself thinking that there is no other direction than to arise, then you probably are of the group who shall experience a deeper awakening.

There is a purpose to obtaining such an awakening. It's not just about being aware of your surroundings and the people, animals, plants and bugs in it. The awakening will afford you the opportunity to make better decisions, be more creative and not only realize your dreams but execute them with ease. Remaining positive and expecting nothing but the best that the Universe has to offer is the key.

This is the year of transformation; or transmutation. You must do all things different to receive the most abundant response from the Universe. Stay far, far away from negativity. If you find someone attempting to serve as a vampire, waiting to suck the blood out of you....run quickly. Should you enter a place of confusion, do not attempt to make it clear, but rather release yourself from it.

This year, expect forces to come your way that would have you to believe what is in front of you. I challenge you to not believe what is placed before you until you do your own research to determine if what you are seeing is really valid.

Now I'm not saying don't trust anyone. But I am saying trust your own conscious mind first. Placed within you are a series of nerves and excretions of what I like to call liquid knowledge; serum, if you will, such as serotonin and adrenaline, coupled with a beating heart which palpitates according to the environmental changes that exist. Utilize your own body as the tool which will steer you in the right directions this year, and you shall be amazed at the results.

Finally, I consistently state...speak less and listen more. You can learn a lot from loquacious people who don't keep their traps shut.

Keep It Movin' In 2014 People! You Are The Masters Of Your Fate.
