Pause, Resuscitate, Giver Of Life

by Abeni Bamidele

The sky is blazing with the March sun as Winter reluctantly makes his exit in the East Coast of the U.S. As we have entered into the third month of 2016, I seem to feel a tad bullied by the rapidness of each month ending, as I don't recall being in a hurry to see the ending of the first two... I haven't even gotten started yet as I was on a 7 month hiatus away from people...and their problems.

I'll take it a step further: Let's just say I hibernated from the Summer through Winter to regroup, meditate, create, evaluate and assess those things and people most important to me. I think it's so important to take a pause from the hustle and bustle of life, that just waits to consume you if you allow it to.

Taking control of one's life takes discipline and often times....sacrifice. Sometimes you have to let go of things, people and circumstances in order to take the reins of the direction you demand your life's direction to go. In my particular case, it began with the sacrifice of laboriously enslaving myself in a job filled with egotistical foolishness which motioned in circles. Beware of the unskilled who attempt to serve as your leadership. This is somewhat challenging to do... Just take a glance at those imps chomping at the bit for presidency in the United States. Now imagine having to navigate one's life in the midst of such madness. Not an easy task to do.

Now that I have entered back into the world with some apprehension, I have gathered a second wind, and have decided to give humans a second chance. Have you ever felt that way?

Well just know that the only one who can change is you. You may turn into a corpse waiting on others to become desirable. Toleration, gratitude and a heavy dose of meditation brings forth positive energy. And when you feel that energy flow...saturate yourself with it as it serves as your protection from the evils of this world.

You Are Uniquely And Brilliantly Adorned.
