Don't Let Fear Stifle You: Stay On The Right Track

Hey... Stay On The Right Track

Sooo this is a photo of me having trekked down a train track, trying to get to the lake where my friends had gone fishing. Yes...this was the only way to get to this lake. I'm sorry...I can't tell you exactly where I was because I haven't a clue, but I can tell you that I was in the East Coast of the United States, ha!

It was soooo very hot that day. I could not help but be just a little bit nervous as I came across a swarm of red wasps that hovered over those tracks, mid of where I needed to travel; not to mention I would not know which direction the train would be coming. Was there even a train scheduled that day? I just didn't know.

What I needed to rely own to finally get me to this lake and not have a full panic attack (because I'm afraid of insects and afraid of getting ran over by a train)  was removing the thoughts of fear from myself completely. I am somewhat of an adventurous person and in my younger years even more adventurous than now. I suppose I value life more the older I get. But on that very day....I simply placed myself in a meditative state.

Living in the moment and enjoying each facet of nature is what kept me grounded. Rather than anticipate being stung by a swarm of red wasps, I selected to give off the energy that would have those wasps sense that I am one with them; I'm sharing space without the intrusion of fear.

We only have a short time on this Earth. Wasting precious time being fearful of things only stagnates us. We have to take some level of risk in order to receive the magnificent gems that this Universe has to offer.

On that particular day, I made it to the lake. How peaceful it was to stand over it, and enjoy the silence. That day the sill water spoke to me in a manner that was so humbling, and I never would have experienced it, had I not taken a bit of a risk.
